That doesn't mean it's irreversible.
It just means that it probably won't be reversed (and we should note Terri's suggestion this morning that leaving should be baked into law on a particular date, irrespective of any facts or sanity).

Sure, "it's not going to be reversed" isn't quite the same as "irreversible" but they have the same end result ...
