Forgive me for the Facebook link, especially if it doesn't work, but I thought some of you might be interested in this. There's a whole lot going on over there that's not being covered by external media with regards to the global economic crisis.
Also - just booked my ticket and flights to see Sigur Rós in Reykjavik on the arse end of their world tour. So fuck the rest of you.

Apparently the whole of Yellowstone Park is a supervolcano. That would do more than ground a few planes for a week.

I saw it go off in that film 2012 and it only killed one hippy.

Even though Jonti's violin bowing of his guitar got on my tits to start with, I thought they were fantastic. Need to update my collection though cos I think I've missed their last albums. Also want to see Heima but haven't bothered to buy it.

...Which is what their new album is supposed to be going back towards. Have seen both them and Jónsi - great to watch live.

that was immense. opening bars of 'creep' as 40,000 shoegazers got utterly drenched.

I saw Sigur Rós at Brixton academy about 8 years ago, and Jónsi twice in Bournemouth and the Hammersmith Apollo. Had tickets for their Alexandra Palace gig but couldn't go in the end so it's been a while since I've seen them.

And loved the South Park show (we pleasantly heckled Beck and he spoke to us :D), but I thought they were poorly suited to a hot summers day in blazing sunshine shortly after Supegrass :).

But that was an amazing gig with a line-up that I don't think I'll see beaten for a while. Beck were going through their Mutations period though so it was kinda nice to chill between Supergrass and Radiohead. I had no idea who was playing before showing up with my sister's tickets (bought off her about an hour before the gates opened). WIN.

That's about half the population of Leeds. On a global scale it just isn't very exciting.

"After reading all that i realise why we dnt bother with it, Cuz its all to much of a headache to give a shit!!!"
Made me laugh.

But a country with that population getting rid of their government and changing their constitution?
The real reason I posted was because it's very worrying that a 'free' media such as our own is sweeping it under the carpet.

The revolution, doubtful, hence the link. The gig, maybe, but it'll still be better to be there.

At least you're not going to Mexico where they're killing each other in droves, in a gruesome way.

so could afford to faff up there currency.
They devalued it to such an extent ,a packet of fags can be bought without the need for a mortgage.
