Says it all really.

I mean, you never read of some church drinking poison for very long, so I think they're hedging their bets with the rattle snakes.
Plus, if you keep those suckers cold, they don't move much and aren't aggressive. I suspect, but don't know, that there is a snake cooling area prior to shows.
And why would a man named "Mark" be nicknamed "Mack"? It is just letter substitution.

3 year old boy sings "I know the Bible's right, somebody's wrong, Romans 1 and 27, ain't no homo going to make it to heaven" and gets standing ovation. Whiny little god-bothering black tank-topped bitch.

When the reaction is "you disagree with me and I'll kill you" it really doesn't help the cause.

But sorry, they forced their three-year-old to sing a massively offensive song in public, which was then filmed & then uploaded to the internet by one of their congregation.
Freedom of speech comes with having to anticipate & deal with the consequences.
tl;dr: "Boo fucking hoo".

I think if you reinscribe violence you only justify it.
(, Thu 31 May 2012, 21:06, Reply)
This is a big world we live in, son...All wired up by interwebs and such. So when one group of any ilk does something patently offensive to an opposing group, extremists will always crawl out of the woodwork to denounce it and, well, go to extremes. I don't condone anyone committing violence on anyone, but I am enough of a realist to know that these things happen time and again.

Everyone should have the right to say whatever they like: but do something so abhorrent, don't be surprised when the majority of society treats you with revulsion.

I'm sure the Fair and Balanced Fox News said that there were death threats, and how the left is trying to destroy Christ...

that really frustrate me. I'm not the most religious person out there, and honestly only really pray when serious shit hits the fan, but what I know of Jesus is that he tolerated people, hookers, thieves, the sick, etc. These people who are so "pious" are filth. Obama was dead on, and said what a lot of people think when he said that people like this cling to their guns and their religion...they're scared shitless...Of what??? Of some LGBTQ's moving in next door and bringing some badass interior decorating and landscaping with them to increase property values? There is such an undercurrent of bigotry and hatred in this country right now, and I do believe a lot of it has to do with the fact that we have a Black president who has accomplished more than his white predecessors. Thank God ethnic minority births have finally outpaced Caucasian births here, so that in a generation or two, we should all be tan...but then they'll figure out a new way to demonize someone...

"the fact that we have a Black president who has accomplished more than his white predecessors"
The only thing your president has done is MASSIVELY increase the national debt.
Enjoy your Summer 'cos your Autumn & Winter is gonna be fucked: The US Debt ceiling. QE3. Spain Bankrupt (forget Greece, minnow). Ireland=broke. Italy=broke
Everyone basically broke.
Answer= print moneeeeeeeeeeeee, mmmmmmmmmm Governments love to paper over the cracks rather than fixing the foundations.
i've had it with this Country. It's fucked. I'm gonna hope my Gold & silver purchases over the last few years have earned me enough to fuck right off when my country becomes completely ertarded.
OK, i've just looked back up and well, I've gone off on a rant. Sorry, it wasn't meant at you but for me, it's just advice..you do whatever the FUCK! you wanna do.

But my outlook is significantly rosier...We had a balanced budget before Bush and Obama inherited a ton of mess. He's added some to the pile, I agree, but you can't say the entire mountain is his.
(, Thu 31 May 2012, 21:32, Reply)
The debt is nothing now compared to what it will be when the provisions of Obamacare kick in next year.
It's truly amazing when you see all the things that Obama criticized about Bush, but maintained once he was in office.
(, Thu 31 May 2012, 21:43, Reply)
You are quite correct. But the problem is there's not enough money to pay the debt.
That's worldwide, not just the US.
Every major body is in debt to every major body.
The world owes itself to itself.
Until a proper Gold standard comes into effect it'll just be Bonds after Bonds owing Bonds to Bonds earning interest on the original Bonds that weren't really there in the first place.
House of cards. It's falling apart now. Whether you agree with it or not, it is happening. Good luck!
Oh, The Rothschilds & Rockerfellers are meeting this weekend. I wonder what about?
Who has all the money? Spanish and Greek Islands look nice, are they for sale?...

If religious practises and beliefs were subjected to the normal scientific tests of empirical evidence and results required and all the concepts and hypothesis therein that didn't hold up were discarded as they failed each test, I wonder what would remain...

I don't think anyone with a more scientific mind will ever watch their dad die of something and decide it's a good family tradition to continue with and risk death to prove their faith in it...
And then die. And then someone else will run with it.
(, Thu 31 May 2012, 21:33, Reply)
I think it the height of arrogance to suggest that religion is wrong because among the thousands of beliefs there may be an incorrect one, while then stating that science, whatever it is at the moment is infallible.
Unfortunately people can skew data to fit their beliefs in both camps.

And a dodgy pink 'wine' Lidls sells for 2 quid a pop and looks and tastes like dentist's mouth wash. 7% alcohol. I'm expecting to see some come out of Alan Carrs globe next week...

just that at any given time the scientific consensus is the best we can have to be going on with. if you think otherwise you have failed to understand the scientific method. i think you maybe know this so you're going for straw men cos they're easier to flame. religion is wrong because it urges the consensus reality to mold around it rathewr than the opposite. whatever religious tradition would have suggested to treat your dad was wrong then and wrong now. at least science inherently acknowledges that it is only as right as we know for now and is infinitely open to revision. religion claims to be eternal truth despite changing to fit with the prevailing philisophical orthadoxy.
my gran died and after she was just dead not ever living just dead but people said she lives forever and i saw them feel better.
SO IT MUST BE TRUE EH?
