very funny, pretty much sums it up. up the road from me was a church in a strip mall that always had me very confused as they called themselves Warriors for Jesus or something, next door was a guns and ammo store... just scary.

Don't find him that funny and he irritates me. Also, people call him a genius but they're basing that on one, possibly two routines they've seen.

and I do admit, that towards the end, he was a little cranky, but he was hiding the cancer that he knew he had...I gotta cut him some slack...being diagnosed at the height of your career can really ruin your day..

There weren't many comics doing the stuff he was I think. These days it probably seems a little bit done to death.

But I agree that his drugs and space exploration schtick got a bit tiresome and there were some homophobic elements to his stuff at times (no often though). Overall, he was a significant player in the development of the art, for sure.
