Nothing wrong with Gilbert O'Sullivan.

Peter Kay's Geraldine is the worst musical comedy act I can think of.

edit: Have made the Gilbert O'Sullivan / Gilbert and Sullivan mistake when writing the above. I am (thankfully?) unaware of Gilbert O'Sullivan's work.

This is a normal post TV wise probably, yes.
As a (retired) musical comic though I've seen tons worse on the circuit. Including me.

edit - check out Gilbert - some of his early stuff before he got gloopy was OK.
