Aerial footage of uncontacted tribe.
Amazing to think that there are still people living like this, unaware of civilization. They seem to stare up at the plane, frozen in amazement like we would if we saw a UFO.

You're old.
I can tell by your movie reference that no one else will get.

If a plane was circling my house that low, I'd probably stare too.

If I remember correctly
from news stories in the past, they aren't 'unaware of civilization'. They will undoubtedly have had some contact with other tribes and with the outside, but probably decided to retreat into the forest and have nothing to do with it. The reality is that there are hardly any truly isolated groups of humans left.
This book and documentary about isolated tribes on New Guinea is cracking, by the way. www.amazon.co.uk/First-Contact-Mark-Anstice/dp/1903070260/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1373883490&sr=8-1&keywords=mark+anstice

If Steven King had been English, he'd have set all his books in the FoD.

I'm not that amazed. I get phonecalls from people like this every day. One day I'll snap and tell them they're too dumb to own a computer.

One thing's for sure.
These people must have something to hide and are a threat. We should definitely wipe them out as quickly as possible.

That word killed the entire film for me.
I thought it was a joke the first time they said it.

Funny thing is...
...it's a term in legitimate use by scientists and was around before the film too.
Doesn't stop it being annoying though.

I call bullshit.
The lad in the preview picture is holding a steel machete. Where did that come from if they are 'uncontacted'?

I'd love to see how they make steel out in the jungle

the metal knife held by the kid in the cover picture implies clear and obvious trade with outside
so common that something that would be utterly amazing to a stone age people is being carried by a kid

I always laugh when isolated tribes are on tv and they're wearing Nike t-shirts and Addidas track suit bottoms.

I live with a primitive, remote tribe in the foothills of the himalayas
lots of them wear fake shit that comes in from the outside. Also most have mobile phones, and some have motorbikes! It's strange because also you have children with machetes killing pigs and witchdoctors bloodletting spider bites. In many ways they don't look tribal, but they totally are.
