This is a link post "Billie Jean" performed on a beatboxing ukulele.
Without a doubt, the coolest cover version of it that I've ever heard.
For some strange reason, his singing style comes across to me as giving
the song a "film noir" feel to it.

This is a normal post Nice
A hint of the Shatner in his delivery too.

This is a normal post That was so hipster, I spontaneously grew a pencil thin moustache.
But seriously, this was awesome.

This is a normal post It wasn't hipster in anyway.
You could tell by the simple fact that it was not shit.

This is a normal post Apart from the frankly odd way he delivered his vocals, it was brilliant.
I partly retract my statement, in this case. ^^

This is a normal post easy mistake
as the uke seems to be rather trendy with the hipsters

This is a normal post Saw it on someone's Tumblr.
Just above a "vintage" photo with some crappy Helvetica quote on top.

This is a normal post That was something
and that something was pretty amazing. *stands and applauds*

I'd say the approach to the lyrics was Jim Morrison poem-esque.
Not sure how he was creating the beats sound with the ukulele, though.

This is a normal post For the 'bass drum'...
He's tapping his finger on the bottom of the bridge, *just* after strumming the chord. A bridge pick-up inside the ukulele will amplify that into a deep thump.

For the 'snare'... likely he's hitting the instrument with a fingernail as he strums on the offbeat, to give it that extra snap.

This is a normal post Can't see what exactly he is doing with the bass sound
but he is flicking before strumming, which is easier to see in this version.

This is a normal post ah, nice find..
definite tapping on the bridge for the bass drum, with the 5th/4th finger.

this guy is really quite good.

This is a normal post naaa he's using his forearm to thump the main body for the bass
;)

Argh! Due to your winking smiley, I have no idea whether or not you are joking.

Regardless: watching the vid, there's not enough velocity in his smooth forearm action to create that. There's not even any forearm contact, clearly. A crafty tap of a finger-tip over the internal pick-up location though, is a different story...

Basically, the entire reason for the circular right-hand action during the bass-beat sections IS because he's hitting near the pick-up location, on the bridge, with his finger.

First time I saw that technique was Steve Knightley off of Show Of Hands, in the early 90's on a guitar, in an ex-church in Suffolk. He called it something clever in jest, at the time... can't remember now... oh crap. Something like "digital percussion" or something. Definitely involved the 'digital' pun anyhoos.

edit: upon closer inspection, i'd say he's using his pinky for the 'bass drum'. Nice technique.

This is a normal post Watching it again
I'd say it was his thumb (the inside not the nail as used for the 'snare') which connects above the strings. Allowing him to strum and hit the beat at the same time.

never really saw the point of ukelele, it's a horrible sounding instrument played almost entirely by posing idiots. but this redeems the wee thing, lovely :)
