How dare he ask questions like that?
Problem is there a hundreds of thousands of corbynistas that actually think the problem is Corbyn and his crew being misrepresented.

At least we'll know which one to vote for to get a hard brexit.
No idea what Labour are offering yet.

Eddie Mair threw her a lifeline there,
which she did "not definitively" take full advantage of. Aren't Costa Whitbread? I don't think a UK based company could get away with anything close to Starbucks' shenanigans.

the irony is that if she'd just said "I'm not totally sure what Jeremy meant"
Then we'd see her as honest and a bit dim.
Now we see her as a liar and a bit dim.
Good work politics!

Ken Clarke or Rees Mogg can blather on endlessly on almost any subject, pop a couple of jokes in, not really say very much but it wins almost every time against talking slowly and deliberately. Difference is a public school education, Oxbridge and a legal career

That'll be the Rees-Mogg who suggested that the UK could charge the EU for access to the UK market
Blather indeed

She's not some fresh faced newbie.
She's a career politician, has held many roles including important advisory ones.
If she can't think straight then she's not fit for the job paid for by the public. Certainly shouldn't be on the radio speaking for the party.
But well done for trying to excuse her total fuckwitity with class division.

I like the blithe assertion
that thinking (and speaking) on one's feet is the exclusive preserve of a public school educated, Oxbridge graduate with a career in law. Benny clearly has an extremely low opinion of state schools and any non-Oxbridge university in the country.

It's a fact though that debate is an acquired skill that is cultivated in sections of society of which she is not a member. When you say 'she's shit' you mean 'she's shit in comparison to all these twats who've done PPE at Gonville and Gaius' Well duh

Debating is simply constructing an argument. Which is also what writing an essay is.
Why on earth do you think only Oxbridge types have such skills cultivated? Why aren't these sorts of skills being cultivated in state schools?

Being able to debate is nothing to do with your position in society.
plus being an MP she has almost infinite time to study debates in action and potentially learn things?
For example have you heard Ricky Tomlinson in full flow about his Health and Safety crusade ....even if he is an utterly socialist nutjob.

I'm not saying that all people from deprived backgrounds are incapable of talking coherently
Debate - building and presenting a point of view on the fly in response to questioning or opposition - slightly different set of skills to just letting rip on something you're passionate about

Deprived backgrounds?
Would you care to elaborate on that?
Because it sounds like you think anyone that didn't school at Oxbridge is somehow deprived.

quick check on wiki reveals she's the daughter of immigrant parents, grew up in East London in the 70s, didnt go to university
Do you think it's fair to assume it wasn't a particularly wealthy family?

Having immigrant parents does not make you deprived.
Neither does not going to university.
So let's get this straight, you're saying that unless you come from good Anglo Saxon stock and schooled at oxbridge you are deprived and cannot form a good argument?

Pretty dire but at least all opposition are coming out to talk.
I don't mean the May TV thing, more that government MPs don't appear to defend their record on anything anymore. To the point where "We asked a member of the Government..." should just be on a permanent ticker.
