it's a pity that the makers of that didn't read up on grenades
the striker lever doesn't come off/spring open when the pin is taken out = the grenade will never explode

as noted above
1: the handle on a real grenade comes off when the pin is removed
2: this is a defensive grenade, which has a kill radius greater than the distance between the players (large pieces of shrapnel from the pineapple-shaped casing)
3: grenades are heavy - this was clearly filmed using a hollow piece of plastic
