Plus the other girl would have taken a face full of shrapnel at that distance. Those buggers throw metal about 30 meters.

1: the handle on a real grenade comes off when the pin is removed
2: this is a defensive grenade, which has a kill radius greater than the distance between the players (large pieces of shrapnel from the pineapple-shaped casing)
3: grenades are heavy - this was clearly filmed using a hollow piece of plastic

2 & 3 don't bother me that much (artistic license etc.), but seeing the handle fly off or spring open would have made the video a lot better.
