I'd say, minimum, snuff should probably carry a NSFW tag.. Infact can we have a special snuff tag? 'cause I like swearing and boobies and other such NSFW, but less so this...

This is a normal post I'm betting you've convinced yourself
That you're against capital punishment. Probably because all your friends are. But whenever you see a photo (or, in your case, a film) of a public execution, look carefully at the faces in the front row of the audience.

They're you.

This is a normal post Stop sitting on the fence.
I am so very fucking ambivalent about those who sit on the fence. It makes me so very angry and sad, simultaneously. I fucking hate the internal paradox of my experience of humankind, but I so love the humanity of people in general. And huge manatees, obviously.

Luckier one probably got a broken tailbone; the other one - definitely severe brain trauma. Most likely will never speak, eat, or move again. His mother will get a call from ICU telling them her son has been in an accident and is in critical condition. She'll drop the basket of folded laundry on the floor, grab her keys and rush out the door. She'll frantically call her husband but there's no answer. He's at the movies with their younger son. After what feels like an eternity she'll finally make it to the hospital where she'll be greeted by two nurses who can barely look her in the eye. She knows it's bad. She's told her son fell while doing a stunt with his friend and broke his spine and suffered severe head trauma. Her stomach feels sick; her knees are shaky and her feet unsteady. After surgery her world will come crashing down and she slowly opens the door to her son's room only to be greeted by beeping machines and the slow, repetitious sounds of a ventilator, slowly pumping oxygen into her son's lungs. Her son lays on the bed, covered in bandages. She can barely recognize him. Metal rods are secured all around her son's head to hold him in place. A tube is going down his throat. "Jacob.." she whimpers as she slowly shuffles toward her son's bed and falls to her knees. More tears cover her face. She takes his hand and puts it against her face. She softly kisses it and bursts into tears. She gently strokes his forehead and squeezes his hand, hoping for her son to respond. He never does. And never will.

This is a normal post And of all the people watching, filming and helping, not one of them said "Uh, guys... this might result in death or serious injury"?

(, Tue 28 Apr 2015, 11:40, , Reply)
This is a normal post He'll be fine from he head injury POV; it's the fencing response. Unfortunately the helpers may be causing a spinal cord injury...
His posture suggests a decorticate extensor rigidity (common in mid to upper brainstem injury) but happened much to quickly to be due to brain injury. The Fencing Response looks similar, but usually only lasts a few seconds.

One of the helpers however is trying to keep his airway clear, but with him on his side and thus twisting the c. spine by about 60 degrees. From the way he hit the ground and rolled over, he may well have an unstable cervical spine injury and end up paraplegic due to the fuckwits 'helping'.

This is a normal post If only more people did immediate life saver courses they would teach you not to move people with a suspected neck injury, and certainly don't twist it round like that.
They teach this in schools now...

This is a normal post Progress!
It'll take a while before it starts to have an effect and you start to notice people not suffering horrific neck injuries after accidents though, i just hope the person who finds the next casualty paid attention in class, because we all remember every word of what we learnt in school.

It's a good thing it's being taught in schools though, very good.

This is a normal post But if your airway's blocked, there's not much benefit in leaving you in situ...
Because you'll be dead before you can worry about paralysis.

(Can't really tell from video, but sounds like partial obstruction. I'd say keeping it patent would be pretty important).

I was without doubt, a little wild as a youth. But I was never suicidally stupid. And it was never for cameras, we just did it for the moment, not for the audience.

This is a normal post His head will be fine.
About 4 years ago I managed to trip and crack my head open on the pavement. I ended up with a 5 day stay in the hospital, 40 stitches and leech therapy which fortunately prevented me requiring a skin graft.
These days apart from the odd blackout and a slight slur to my speech I'm completely recovered.
Looking at the video, his head didn't seem to take much of an impact. Yes there's blood, and he might be unconscious, but I highly doubt it's a serious head wound judging by the way in which he fell. I'd be far more concerned for his back.
Still a fucking idiot though.
