This is a normal post "Only 25% of London Underground Stations have Step Free Access."
Less than 1% of passengers are in wheelchairs.

This is a normal post so 12,300,000 journeys per year require wheelchair access
you'd think they'd do something about that

This is a normal post Less than 1%. Like 3 people. On Sundays.

This is a normal post Yeah, alright, Princess Bleedingheart.
If we make it too easy, how do you suggest that we separate the genuine spastics from the merely lazy?

This is a normal post It's amazing how resistant people are
when you propose simple background checks (read: tipping onto the floor) before granting wheelchair access to buildings and stations.

This is a normal post Ummm...
So your point is what? That wheelchair users should be confined to 1% of the stations?

This is a normal post It'd be a start.

This is a normal post I like this

Being in a wheelchair is a ballache. I'm not personally, but you'd think by now London would be more accessible. Pushchairs, elderly as well?
(, Tue 30 Sep 2014, 17:06, , Reply)
This is a normal post The stations were built way before accessibility was really a thing
I assume it is either impossible in some, and impractical due to cost in others, to implement access.

Which is not unfair as such, but shitty. I am sure in the future, there will be a chair, which is part segway and part bean bag, and you just fire yourself at the steps and it deals with the rest.

You are welcome.
