I've recently partaken in a wondrous Scottish Delicacy, the Munchy Box. What's in this box of delights? Click it and see.

Edit to change to static HTML version. I got b3tadotted. Edited back to Wordpress after installing supercache.

There are two kinds of deep-fried pizzas available in the West of Scotland. The Half-Pizza Supper has no batter. It's a simple half-pizza, deep fried and served on a bed of Glasgow Salad. The Pizza Crunch Supper, on the other hand, is a half-pizza, battered and deep fried. I'm not making this up.
Edit: The Pizza Crunch Supper is a quarter pizza. The half-pizza variant is a LARGE Pizza Crunch Supper. I'm reliably informed that the battered pizza has less fat in it due to the bread not soaking in as much thanks to the batter coating. Awesome.

with no batter.
The crunchy pizza edge where it has been cut is the tastiest bit.

I say we steal their oil and try and impose some sort of civilisation on them again. Clearances anyone?

But where's the deep fried battered Mars Bar of lore?

I contemplated ordering that one evening of studentdom in Glasgow, but saw the woman at the counter making it.
Now.
Not only is it a deep-fried half of Iceland cheapo pizza, but once cooked it is put into the heatbox above the fryer, and sprinkled with even more cheese.
Gruh.
Deep fried Opal Fruits had a certain charm to them though.

There's a plugin for Wordpress you might be interested in: WP-supercache. It caches all wordpress posts as html, seamlessly.

but that looks horrible.
All the meat looks stale and dried out, especially the kebab...
edit: actually, the full size pics are much more appetizing.
Still a cholesterol bomb though.

It was actually rather tasty and correctly cooked. The salad under the naan was a little flaccid, but so would you be if you spent half an hour under a hot bit of roast bread, weighed down with indeterminate animal parts and flanked by chips and pakora. Yes, the big secret is that I actually like Munchy Boxes. This wasn't my first or last.

There are three eateries within 5 minutes of me selling these.
It always gets rid of the difficult decision of what to have for tea.
