This is a normal post As a vertigo sufferer
This is terrifying. Did something similar on a coach in Spain - no water but no railings of any kind so it balances out. You think you are going to die but when it is over it is such a rush

This is a normal post If it is okay to use the terms
due to our freedom of speech rights then surely it's okay for Buffet not to use them for the same reason?

This is a normal post Go back to America, you American.
We don't have freedom of speech in the UK.

This is a normal post You are wrong
We don't and never have. I don't know why you think we do. Maybe you have watched too many American films or something. I don't know what else it might be.

This is a normal post You have some issue with America, don't you?
You also seem to have a humour malfunction because my last post was a joke - that joke will be ruined if I explain it so have another read. Also, however bitter you may be, this country has freedom of speech - maybe not the Utopian one you seem to be advocating but freedom of speech nonetheless. Get off your arse and visit a country that doesn't and you will soon understand how wrong you are.

This is a normal post I'm not bitter.
I just know that we don't have free speech in the UK. It's really not a controversial thing to say. It's a fact. Your joke doesn't work because as far as I know it's currently legal to tell me to fuck off, unless you were telling me to fuck off because I am a member of a protected group, you weren't were you?

This is a normal post As I said before
And which you have done your best to ignore. Visit a country with multiple human rights issues on the Amnesty list (the UK isn't there, by the way) and see what lack of freedom of speech actually means. The joke works fine because in one of those countries you would not even be allowed to visit the website where the insult was made let alone see it or react to it. Head out your arse, Jeffrey

This is a normal post Don't try to change the subject.
Your claim was that the UK has freedom of speech. Now you are trying to change your arguement to other countries have it worse than the UK. I'm not ignoring that, I'm just not arguing against it because I agree with you. It's not relevant to the UK having freedom of speech, which of course we don't.
(, Mon 23 Apr 2018, 7:50, , Reply)
This is a normal post That's not changing the subject
Freedom of speech is not that easy to measure. You can only look at the UK in relation to other countries and what freedoms they have or don't have. In the UK you have the right to free speech - it shows everywhere from the media to the right of protest. It is also obvious that your objection stems from a specific issue with how the UK deals with something. So tell me, Jeffrey, where does the UK not allow free speech?
(, Mon 23 Apr 2018, 13:41, , Reply)
This is a normal post No specific issue
but just go to your news site of choice and search for 'hate crime' for numerous examples. The Nazi dog and the recent rap lyric cases are the obvious ones. BTW, you should be careful, under current UK law if anyone reported it your last post would very likely be recorded as a 'non-crime hate incident' by your local police force. With regards to the press and protests, super injunctions and dispersal orders mean these are also not complete freedoms.
(, Mon 23 Apr 2018, 15:02, , Reply)
This is a normal post But now you aren't making the distinction
Between freedom of speech and breaking the law (hate crime does break the law). However, without a specific example of where the freedom of speech right has not been exercised (without breaking the law) then you are deliberately making this discussion impossible.
(, Mon 23 Apr 2018, 17:22, , Reply)
This is a normal post Of course it breaks the law
That's the bit that means we don't have freedom of speech. We don't have freedom of speech because you can be punished for things that you say.

It's that simple. The UK doesn't have freedom of speech.

This is a normal post Okay, you're an idiot
It's the definition of freedom of speech that matters not your interpretation of it
