It needs a bit of horsepower as its making this laptop cry.

But there was also talk of creating an English mythology that he thought was lacking.

We all know in the real world, it does happen ....
I broke my duck at 13, so remembering that, does that make me a paedophile too?
Even so, we know the views of people like Stinson Hunter Et Al, who lump baby shaggers in with slightly misguided men who seek out a girl 6 months away from her legal age of consent.
A man of Frys towering intellectual stature would be well aware of the furore a comment like this would cause. Looking for column inches springs to mind.

If you read what he actually says, and understand his arguments, then what he says makes perfect sense. They've just been lumped together in a newspaper article to generate a controversial argument.
1. There's a huge moral difference between people being raped and him abusing himself with drugs.
2. The experience of Savile has left the BBC paranoid.
3. Some people in their 50s had sex with rock stars when 14 and do not consider themselves victims (whether they are or not is a different matter)
4. People should not be called 'victims' before the person involved has been charged or the case brought to court.
5. People should be convicted by evidence, not by putting them in the media and waiting for allegations of half-remembered groping to pour in.
6. Raping a child is worse than groping a child which is worse than groping an adult.
7. People are being tarred with the Jimmy Savile brush because they once patted someone's bottom.

Wait what!?
Quote: "the comments were racist as well as sexist".
No they were neither racist NOR sexist. They were rude and nasty, but they weren't either of those things. The russian twat didn't say discriminate or call them out on their race, he said they were "brothers" and "nasty to look at". There may be racial undertones to these statements but they aren't directly aimed at either women in general or people of a specific skin colour.

I haven't found an English transcript of the interview
but certainly the comments seem sexist to me - along the lines of how the elegant, beautiful Russian athletes should rightfully be scared of having to play against the physically powerful, imposing Williams "brothers". There may also have been racist undertones, no idea.
I would trust the judgment of the black, female Williams sisters as to what they find racist and sexist over anyone else's, they must have experienced more than enough of both throughout their lives and careers.

Only 2 female lead films there, compared to 18 male, why does that keep happening? You'd think teenage boys would want to see girls in spandex on screen

Source material issues I'd expect
I'm struggling to name three lead comic book heroines who aren't just the female version of an existing superhero.
Superhero tales are power fantasy. The sort of audience they appeal to want to BE the characters, not lust after them.
Edit: HA! A Lego Batman movie? That's one I do want to see.

I made this!
A little quieter then the summer even we found some cosplayers and special guests we could film with.
Hope you like it!

Yep - always impressed with good costume work
Less impressed that my 20 years out of date comics knowledge means I don't recognise 95% of these. Pretty much only the Star Wars, Who, and a couple of game characters. *old*

I don't know what to make of this. Hardcore/metal with a penchant for backyard wrestling. It's pumped full of testosterone.

I've never really been into wrestling
Well, I was when I was about eight for like 6 months, until I grew out of it, like Iron Maiden.
At least these guys aren't pussies, but I still don't see the point in ACTUALLY beating the crap out of each other during a show. The music may be aggressive perhaps, but...

I've enjoyed your reply, thanks.
Sleeping is important. I've slept today for as long as I should for the first time in a few days and I still had to have a nap to even it out.
As a side note, maybe if I would be tipsy more often I would be saner, so cheers.
