boabmaster - your song is......KC & The Sunshine Band "Please Don't Go" - (originally released in 1979). I agree it's an absolute shite ballad, but I have to confess to buying KC's "Sound Your Funky Horn" sometime around 1974 I think.
This is by far a much worserer track so don't feel too bad.
