Admit it. No one does any work these days. It's all looking at crappy websites with your thumb hanging over alt tab incase the boss walks over. Tell us your best methods of skiving, and any resultant incidents. (Maybe your slacking off has got someone sacked, or resulted in a large scale industrial accident.)

One of my favorites is to go and get lunch for people in the office. Everyone thinks you are being really helpfull and I get a hour off wondering around the shops.

There's so many ways to skive off in a supermarket, my Favs included
i) Going to collect trollies from the bottom of the car park... ending up having a cig break and seeing how many trollies at once you could push without twatting some old dears Montego
ii) 'Hiding' in the bread department and forcing your mates mouth around the 'Doughnut Filling Machine' - Watching Blueberry sauce squirt out of his gob at high pressure was much fun
iii) Hiding in the 'Pizza Prep' area and wiping large snots on the bottom of bases for pizzas...
iv) Zooming up and down the warehouse on pallet trucks... deadly but fun!

For four years I worked for a fairly major ex-polytechnic (now University) in the midlands. After redesigning their website I landed a job as a 'consultant' which basically meant copping a £600 a month 'retainer' for sitting on my arse at home, whilst simultaniously using the University resources and time to build up a successful web design/development company.
I was raking it in (£40 an hour + retainer) working for departments in the Uni, helped by my very well connected and friendly female boss.
Unfortunately, the bastards eventually realised my plan and erm... 'released' all the people I'd recruited into the company.
Ahh well, good whilst it lasted eh?
These days I'm back in education, have my own private office and get to spend all day looking at lovely 18-21yr old ladies.
Hard life.

You wouldn't have been old enough to frequent drinking establishments at that age. Tsk tsk.

back in 1989 (I think) I was assigned to Lincoln reference library for a two-week stint of hard work.
NALGO had other ideas, however, and spent the whole two weeks on strike. So what I actually got was two weeks of industrial action experience. Spent the week with my friend's grandparents doing the rounds of every countryside pub within a 40 mile radius.
That was fun.
