This is a question What nonsense did you believe in as a kid?

Ever thought that you could get flushed down the loo? That girls wee out their bottoms? Or that bumming means two men rubbing their bums together? Tell us about your childhood misconceptions. Thanks to Joefish for the suggestion.

When I was very young
I remember thinking ‘Thatcher won’t take our school milk off us, that’s a horrible thing to do’.

Shows what I know.

Can't this reply...

Lucas and Walliams' "Come Fly with Me"
I win.

No but that was post-modern irony and laughing at people who laugh at the people who laugh at racists.
So it's OK.

I think the thing that is often over looked with Lucas and Walliams
is that no matter how you interpret their creations and their motivations, they deserve credit for being the two unfunniest fuckers ever to have been allowed to appear on television since John Logie Baird first thought 'fuck me, I'm bored of staring at the corner of my lounge every evening, I better do something about this'.

Ach, that's a bit unfair
Little Britain had its moments, although you only really need to see one episode, and even that would be a bit of a chore. Rock Profiles, however, was really awesome.
(, Wed 25 Jan 2012, 13:37, closed)
I concede that I never saw Rock Profiles
and any chance of me enjoying it retrospectively has been ruined by the opinion I have built up of the pair of them since.

I'd recommend it heartily
You should dip your toe in the water on YouTube. I'd recommend any sketches with The Bee Gees, Steps, Prince and Tom Jones/Shirley Bassey.

The Take That one.

"I'm on pills because of you!" was funny.

as was the Simon and Garfunkel one (with the wall)

But I agree with the reply above - Little Britain was funny for about the first half of the first episode - then it turned into regurgitated shite

The Take That one is even funnier
now that they really have had a reunion.
(, Wed 25 Jan 2012, 14:34, closed)
I don't care what the question is,
this should win.

How?
He's nailed to it
