A good example of desperation...
...is that we're so desperate for some semblance of national pride that we'll grasp at the straw of a game (that's G-A-M-E - you know, a mostly meaningless distraction meant for entertainment and little else?) where a couple dozen blokes chase each other's cockatoo-coiffured arses round a field for 90 minutes. I think it's so pathetic that I don't even watch it for the sake of eye candy. To be honest though, on that score I'm more of a rugby man :)

How come a bunch of the highest paid footballers in the world can't beat a team that probably earns a 1000th of what England does.

Listening to football fans change their minds entirely several times during the course of a single game drives me wilf
I am constantly at the point of shouting 'Listen to yourself!' as I hear a drone of opinion based entirely on scorelines, regardless of any other factor.

I have never been so embarrased watching a football game. the lack of cohesion was desperate. our players go on about passion and pride and power, but THIS IS NOT ENOUGH. our game is stuck, up to the arses in the 70's

We employed a f*cking CLOWN as a manager, with zero experience, what did we really think was going to happen. Our players have zero technical skills, the only two that do are beckham and crouch, and what do they get? the bench.

Whilst murdoch (thats right name check sue me)and co on sky has being hyping england , our squad quality has been crumbling faster the fanny crust on an old person hving sex for the first time in seventeen years.

i repeat, we emplyed a grinning, media savvy RONALD MCDONALD

lets employ a god manager with technical nous with good tactics

This loss is a semi blessing in disguise. Lets shake things up , before things get really desperate, ie we become worse than scotland....

....even that looks likely, lets wait for the new rankings as we are currently 3 places above em.

tonight... thanks to the stupid, pathetic excuse for a fuel computer in my car... i managed to burn the last of my fuel 20 miles from home and the nearest garage and was in the middle of no where...
So out with the mobile phone... "battery empty..shutting down.... "... bastard

ok... oh look theres a phone box... out with the wallet... which was back at work on my desk... arse

so in this desperate time i had to be strong, had to think of a way to get through this, had to use my intelligence and inititive, i got into this mess so i got to get myself out of it...

i walked half a mile to a pub i know.. borrowed the phone and called my daddy...
