This is a question My Biggest Disappointment

Often the things we look forward to the most turn out to be a huge let down. As Freddy Woo puts it, "High heels in bed? No fun at all. Porn has a lot to answer for."

Well, Freddy, you are supposed to get someone else to wear them.

What's disappointed you lot?

my biggest disappointment...
would be coming to realize that after getting knocked up during my second year at university, dropping out, getting married, having three healthy and beautiful boys, devoting my life to their growth and development, and watching my oldest graduate and move on to university... my children will all soon be grown and gone and that NOW is when I will truly have to lie in the bed that I chose to make those many years ago when I agreed to marry.

I could have been famous, a star on the screen! Or something in between. Or at the very least married to someone who likes fresh air... Damn all these regrets anyway, I sound like a whiny bitch. The worst thing is that he's looking forward to it immensely.

Become one of those gap year oldies.
Go travelling with or without the husband.

Drop back in
Go back and finish that degree.

Many a mature returning student has passed through my University and been so glad that they did.

Gap year and go back to uni!
Studying is not just for teenagers!

And you'll find it much, much easier this time round because you'll have better organisational skills, better alcohol handling, greater motivation and the tutors will automatically like you ;)

Good luck!

thanks.
I'd been thinking a second job might well be the answer. University actually sounds like an intriguing challenge, and you say people will automatically like me? Lovely!

Since this is a "disappointment" theme, I must say I'm disappointed no one said I should start a rock band and develop a following of legal, lusty lads who are humbled and strangely excited by my outrageous maturity and marked sense of je ne sais quoi.

If you want to start a rock band
START A ROCK BAND!

You're a grown up now and you have no one to answer to but yourself.

Go on!

Do it!

We're a long time dead.
