This is a question Dodgy boozers

Just a vagabond writes, "I once had a guy in a pub shout completely out of the blue at me 'OI! BIG NOSE!' and then ask coyly 'Fancy a fight?'"

Tell us stories of the dodgy boozers you've been to, and what happened.

The Bull and Badger in Chipping Norton
Once, they completely ran out of pistachios and we had to have stuffed olives instead...

Also, one evening a riot nearly broke out when they served lime rather than lemon in the G&Ts

Achchovy or Pimento - I would have kicked off big time if it were Pimento Stuffed Olives.

Anchovy stuffed olives are a little bit wrong,
but not so wrong as garlic stuffed olives.

My god the spelling of anchovy was rather awry. Friday innit.

You're supposed to use lime, not lemon, you uncultured buffoon.
...sounds proper rough.

Fack, really?
I'll let Geoffrey know tonight

Thanks

Fuck off.
Lime is what they serve to idiots in wannabe cocktail bars. Adults use lemon and always have done.

Jesus. Are people actually starting to think that lime is the sophisticated choice?

Depends on the brand of gin.

^^exactly this
If I'd been served lemon instead of lime in my G&T I'd have glassed some cunt.

This is actually the Kingham Plough
...about five miles from Chippy. The pubs in the town itself aren't that posh - last time I visited one I was served by a woman with a BNP tattoo. But the Plough is notoriously up itself.

I've been to Chipping Norton
For a night out drinking. I found the beer to generally crap and overpriced
