not joking..A girl I know is afraid of syrup. Not cough syrup or anything like that but the stuff you put on pancakes or waffles. She had to confess her fear after her friend invited her to a local restaurant that serves only pancakes. She agreed to go but only on the condition that all syrup at the surrounding tables be removed and no one near her could have anything with syrup.
