A little the worse for wear by the cloakroom
It's nearing the end of the night so I go up to the cloakroom lady and say "I'm very sorry, but I've lost the ticket for my jacket, is there any chance I could get it back without the ticket.

She looked impatient and said "I've already given you your coat"

And then had the temerity to add "and you are wearing it"

I've not really been back since.

Haha!
This eminds me of the time when I spend a lot of my night harassing the club DJ to play Billie Jean only to be told he had just played my request. Slightly embarrassing.

^this
I was so drunk and annoyed at how long the requests queue was that I didn't realise my song was halfway through when I asked for it

If I'm drunk enough to make a request then I'm too drunk to do it well
I'll drop the pen, or be so intent on holding the pen level that I drop the rest of me, or miss the paper completely.

The best I can hope for is to be writing really big and leave a post-it note that says
