^thisI appear to be the only person on Earth who can remember EADGBE without a mnemonic but I find it really difficult to tell which is the higher of 2 notes with slightly different timbres. Which makes it an absolute sod tuning a guitar by ear. I'm slightly more succesful if I use harmonics and beat frequencies.
