Kitchen thread.
What couldn't you live without in your kitchen*

Alt:Kitchen gadgets, I hate most of them, but I do have a few that really are good, what's your best/worst kitchen gadget?

Alt:alt: Shit cook=1 or master chef like Gonz**=10, how do you rate yourself and why?

*cooker, fridge and a sink (with taps) is a given
**Maybe slightly wrong here

Has anyone done a presents thread?
I got lots of red wine, some coffee syrups and a sort of leather bracelet thingy that was engraved with the kids initials. I've spent the last few days happily making Lego with the kids. I brought down my old box of it from the loft and we all sat happily making robots for about 3 hours

The lamb I bought to have with the turkey was fucking NOM too, in a late response to Mcbeef's food thread.

I'm a bit troubled by that last thread
By upbringing, class, peer group and inclination I've always regarded branded clothing as rather crude and uncouth.

Labels should be worn inside, I believe.

When the world fails, peak oil kicks in and there ain't no electric. Can you make fire, in a fireplace, without firelighters?
Just a bit of paper and wood? Just got into work, been told by bar gimp 'it wouldn't work'. They have been trying since 12.00 to make a fucking fire in the fireplace. What basic survival skill do you lack? I'd like to learn shoemaking.

Get this, it's snowing
Great big fluffy snowflakes, massive ones, it's very rear in Nottingham so the rest of the outlying areas must be heaped in the stuff, I wanna start a snowball fight :(

In my old area I would have had half the street out by now involved in a massive snowball fight, do any of you bitches have power like that? well? do you?

Technically it's Christmas day
My last Christmas day without children. What should I do to celebrate my last real year of fun and frivolity? You can't say Hitler

So Cunts, do you reckon I should get an iMac for the missus, or a fucking Microsoft Tablet thingy?
Those Apple products look real nice and shit, but are they still some kind of obscure sect when it comes to everyday online life?

I liked Joe Cocker so fuck the lot of you
Also, I thought Wendy Hurrell had stopped doing the news until right now, where I realised I'd not been watching the south east's news on account of living in London. What a spastic, eh?

Re earlier thread, and mention of The Railway Children, I have now stuck a pic of Sally Thomsett as my desktop.
From some tvseries, not a nonce one from the movie. What do you have as your desktop?
