neither, although probably what you mean by the former.
but it's against the rules to play on grass. Ice hockey is for screaming Marys that need body armour.

it's too unpredictable.
be like playing cricket on an uneven wicket. You're allowed to play lower league stuff on grass I think but national league and international is forbidden.
