I reckon my slogans would be superb.

24 billion pounds that could have been spent on sorting out the economy
and a militarised police state in London. Hah. Fun, fun, fun!
(, Wed 4 Apr 2012, 16:55, Reply)
That's about the size of it. Great innit.

Pretty much every city (apart from Sydney) that has hosted the Olympics has ended up with more debt as a result.
You can't get a return on that much capital investment in the period in which more money flows in on the back of the Olympics. This is why I was hoping Paris would beat London to host this year's games.

It's just a giant version of a school sports day anyway, but with less eggs and spoons.
(, Wed 4 Apr 2012, 16:55, Reply)
And more military surveillance drones

(, Wed 4 Apr 2012, 16:56, Reply)
needs MOAR eggs

(, Wed 4 Apr 2012, 16:56, Reply)
Well transport infrastructure shouldn't really be counted should it?
That's useful after the games.
(, Wed 4 Apr 2012, 16:57, Reply)
so is a cycling velodrome

(, Wed 4 Apr 2012, 16:59, Reply)

i'm not convinced in the aerodynamic properties of ironic moustaches though

(, Wed 4 Apr 2012, 17:08, Reply)
Maybe Stella McCartney has designed some 'tache-guards to counter the drag caused.

(, Wed 4 Apr 2012, 17:09, Reply)
Can I just point out that my Tasche is in no way Ironic?

Speak English man.

Don't be mean.
You know he struggles in that department.
(, Wed 4 Apr 2012, 17:18, Reply)
As well as his impotence.

(, Wed 4 Apr 2012, 17:20, Reply)
Living where I do
I will genuinely benefit from the transport investment. This means rather than being actively pissed off about the whole thing I am more 'mildly irritated'.

It's already very, very boring reading the Standard though. They will not fucking shut up about it.
(, Wed 4 Apr 2012, 17:02, Reply)
Would now be a good time to say "I told you so"
Because I'm pretty fucking sure I did and was told we would, somehow, make a profit on this monumental waste of time and money. Of course when I say "we" I doubt it includes me, or you Monters, it's more the idea that if some cunt in this country is making money the rest of us are better off somehow.
(, Wed 4 Apr 2012, 17:06, Reply)
It will be a massive embarrassment
Things won't work properly and then some swarthy will blow himself up and the world will be surprised.
(, Wed 4 Apr 2012, 17:08, Reply)
Really not fucking worth it on any level at all.
Like sport in general.
(, Wed 4 Apr 2012, 17:09, Reply)
*shakes hands*

(, Wed 4 Apr 2012, 17:10, Reply)
It's like so many perversions
If you enjoy it, then fine indulge in it, watch it, do what you like bur please do not: force me to participate, make me pay for it or keep telling me about it.

Basically my view of sort is much the same as my view of 'watersports'.
