I think I got off easier, I've just been told to let it rest and heal and not use it just because it works and doesn't hurt

I dunno, I'm pretty sure that neither of us got off lightly...
The really wierd thing with mine is that it still won't twist. The surgeons swear that's normal and it'll ease with time but it genuinely does feel like they've screwed the two bones together.
