These are people who don't even bother to say first "Hey do you want to grab a coffee and talk about this?"
instead they go "Hi, I'm having problems with question 3B on the spectroscopy prac, whatdoIdohowdoIdoitwillyoudoitforme?"

I did that all the time at uni, on both sides, that's how I made friends on my course.

I at least ask people out for a coffee first before I badger them over stuff I don't know how to do.
I don't ask for much. Even a "How are you?" would be nice, but I don't even get that. And it's the SAME people asking me this year as it was last year, they haven't paid me a bit of attention when they didn't need help, and it's giving me the shits.
