Sometimes, just sometimes, old people say something worth listening to. Ok, so it's like picking the needle out of a whole haystack of mis-remembered war stories, but those gems should be celebrated.
Tell us something worthwhile an old-type person has told you.
Note, we're leaving the definition of old up to you, you smooth-skinned youngsters.

With me, every time I realise I'm in a dream, I quickly wake up. There was one exception. When I was still at school, I dreamt I was wandering around the schoolgrounds with a friend. All of a sudden, I realised I was dreaming. I wanted to test to see if I was omnipotent. To do this, I tried creating a volcano in the school football-field (I was inspired by Populous). Might have had a bit of success but it wasn't anywhere near as spectacular as I had hoped. I soon drifted back into a more dreamlike state and my dream continued as normal.

They do. Ctrl+left click is the same as right click, although less convenient, of course. Even as a long time Apple fan, I don't know why they didn't appreciate the merits of multi buttoned rodents a long time ago.

@ Kaol - Thursdays are rubbish because they're duplicitous. They pretend to be the weekend, but are actually hiding behind the mask of Friday. Thursdays are cunts.

I thought Macs had a special key you press down with the mousebutton to emulate a right-click. The app I'm working on is designed to be multi-platform and I had used Shift+Left-click to emulate a right-click (CTRL+Left-click emulates a middle-click).
(, Thu 26 Jun 2008, 11:26, closed)
In that case, I might get some work done.
Also, I think that suggestion is very much in the spirit of QOTW. It brings out the worse in us in an honest kind of way.

No, it's definitely Ctrl+ left click to emulate a right click.
*tries, to make sure*
Yup. All of the other modifiers (Shift, Alt/Option, Apple/Command) do nothing in this context.
Command-left click on a Mac works the same as Ctrl-left click on a PC, in that it allows multiple selection of discontiguous items in a list.
(, Thu 26 Jun 2008, 11:30, closed)
In that case, I may have to re-evaluate my mouse-button key-mappings.

See you all later.
