This is a question Pet Stories

When one of my cats was younger and a lot fatter, he came bowling in from the garden with an almighty crash. Looking slightly stunned, he'd arrived into the kitchen having ripped the cat flap from the door and was still wearing it as a cat-tutu. Did I mention he was quite fat?

In honour of Jake, a well loved cat, who died on Wednesday, tell us your pet stories and cheer us up.

This is a QotW answer Fat stupid cat
My kittie, Hugo, is very unlike his brother Harry.
Harry is lean, fast and catches/kills anything small and furry that comes within range. Hugo is fat and slow and sits about sleeping all day, being cute.

Apart from one day.
Sat in the kitchen, watching TV, I notice Hugo pad past outside with something *huge* dangling from his mouth. Following him into the lounge I found our normally-lazy kittie looking at the biggest, meanest-looking toad I have ever seen.

Funniest thing was, it was still alive and covered in that gross white-foam-gack toads produce as a warning. Hugo was licking his lips and studying the toad with the cutests kittie-look that managed to say "ewe, you taste nasty" and "well you're a complete letdown" at the same time.

I caught said evil toad and put him back outside in the bushes, while Hugo watched his one-and-only catch hop away with a distinctly miffed look on his face.

Length, etc.
