This is a question Phobias

What gives you the heebie-jeebies?

It's a bit strong to call this a phobia, but for me it's the thought of biting into a dry flannel. I've no idea why I'd ever want to or even get the opportunity to do so, seeing as I don't own one, but it makes my teeth hurt to think about it. *ewww*

Tell us what innocent things make you go pale, wobbly and send shivers down your spine.

This is a question reply Actually having to work
I'll freely admit that 90% of my time at work is spent surfing the the web... with 10% spent on fixing designs and generally making people feel relieved... thus earning my crust.

It just so happens though that I have major misgivings about that way this place is run, I mean... there are some idle gits here who only work 10% of the time.

So.. I look for jobs elsewhere. I read the job descriptions, and it sounds as though I'll have to work all of the time. ... No dice.

I'm stuck here. Not working, disgruntled and bored.

A downward spiral and a never-ending vicious circle of chronic lazyness.

This is a question reply That not a phobia.....
...that's real life. I'm pretty much in exactly the same position as yourself. I work in an office fixing computers about 20-30% of the time and somehow earning some decent bonuses too, while spending the other time either browsing on B3ta or jobcentreplus.

This is a question reply Fair play...
but lets be honest.. how many of the posts here are about truly irrational fears?

Jobcenterplus you say? ... I'll go look.

This is a question reply oh yes....
www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk , not a bad site :)

I like to maximise the webpage as a manager wanlks past, just to piss them off :)

This is a question reply Maximising it: pure genius
... On April 1st I told my boss that the night before I'd promised to work as a gardener for a mate... and even though I was drunk when I promised I'd decided to honour the promise.. and therefore had to quit my job as their trouble-shooting Mechanical Designer...

The look on his face was priceless... and I let him suffer for a few minutes: The look on his face was so cute when I told him I was kidding... the poor fella had been bricking it.

This is a question reply Jeccy
Was 'wanlks' a typo or an ingenious new word for the type of 'I'm a wanker' walk that managers have?

I think I prefer the latter.

This is a question reply I think
we're all in the same boat with that one, although I've just got myself a new job starting in a month,
but I now have a whole month with nothing to do in this job. seriously, there actually isn't anything to do!

so, I look for cars, browse the net etc.

actually have to do some work soon, that will be a shock
