This is a question Sexism

Freddie Woo tells us: Despite being a well rounded modern man I think women are best off getting married and having a few kids else they'll be absolutely miserable come middle age.

What views do you have that are probably sexist that you believe are true?

Bollock-kicking VS. Childbirth.
Many people say childbirth is worse and more painful than a bollock-kicking. But I say childbirth has 9 months advance warning and can only happen once in 9 months. Bollock-kicking can come at any time without warning and repeatedly.

Personally, I think overall a bollock-kicking is worse.

I've heard it explained thusly.
After child birth you may sometimes hear 'never again' but a while down the line you may hear the phrase 'I think I'd like another one!'

On the other hand, ask any bloke who has ever been kicked in the nuts whether he'd like to be kicked in the nuts again...

Good way of putting it. I guess with childbirth it's all made better by the joys of parenting (if you like kids). Nothing good comes from a bollock-kicking.

It teaches you
to make sure it doesn't happen again. Also, there's a chance some lovely girl will kiss them better.

Well there's always that... :-D

I think duration should be considered
Think of having your bollocks kicked every 3 to 10 minutes over 72 hours, starting out with the kicks lasting 30 seconds and increasing in intensity and frequency.

I think childbirth is worse. Even with anesthesia, you have to endure a lot of pain to get to the point when we will give you some relief. Up to then, you are on your own.

Full disclosure: I am a laaaaydeeeeeee

I'm not saying it ain't painful, it is. It's just that at least at the end of it you got a bundle of joy. At the end of a bollock-kicking the most you have is a new entry into your medical record by A&E.

that long a labour is just being lazy or difficult surely?
my other half's sister has had her second child in the last few days.

Contractions start at 8am, not painful and quite few and far between.
Hospital at 12pm
Baby is fired out at 1:30pm

indeed.
my missus has fired two out. first time the contractions started while she was doing the big shop at sainsburys. she finished the shop, came home watched a dvd, i got home, went to the hospital, baby out in two hours - no drugs. second time, the contractions started while we were having a walk (weirdly on my older son's birthday), came home, i had a cuppa, she had a sleep, called the midwife, midwife arrived, baby out 20 minutes later. piece of piss. apparently.

I have seen men in agony curled up on the floor for longer than my wife gave birth.
