This is a question School Sports Day

At some point in the distant past, someone at my school had built a large concrete tank behind the sheds and called it a swimming pool. Proud of this, they had a "Swimming Sports Day" in which everyone had to participate, even those who couldn't swim (they got to walk across the shallow end of the tank).

This would probably have been OK if the pool hadn't turned a deep opaque green the night before due to lack of maintainance. Even the school sports stars didn't want to go near the gloopy mess in the pool. We were practically pushed in. I'm sure some of the younger kids never surfaced again and the non-swimmers looked petrified.

Tell us your sports day horrors.

Do I feel bad?
I used to love sports day - always won my events, went on to run in county championships and then the nationals in Birmingham.

I was house captain a couple of times too, and used to HATE having to pick that fat, lazy ones who pretended to be ill, just because the head of house wanted to include people-of-limited-ability-to-stop-eating-pies.
I would rather have done every event myself, but had to watch as they fucked up in front of their peers.
You know who you are.
Still usually won the house competition though.

So, all of you that complain of having to take part, just so you know, it was as bad for people like me. We FUCKING HATED you for it. But you didn't care, you were too busy smoking, crying about being fat and then eating crisps to compensate.

We didn't have any proper mongs, so we didn't have any special races for the spazzes.
