If you're going to pull a sicky, at least put the effort in to your excuse.An ex-colleague of mine had driven a 3 hour journey to Cardiff and back one weekend, arriving back home on the Sunday afternoon. Then rang in sick for the next 5 days because "her eyes were tired."
