This is a question Tightwads

There's saving money, and there's being tight: saving money at the expense of other people, or simply for the miserly hell of it.

Tell us about measures that go beyond simple belt tightening into the realms of Mr Scrooge.

I was once barged out of the way in a Charity shop
by a woman who demanded her money back on a £1.50 dress because "it didn't suit her".

You should have kicked her in the fanny
It's only fair.

I hope you gave her a very scathing look.

I hope you raped her, and killed her dog.
I hate people like that, how dare she barge into you!

What?

If I had been the person serving in that shop
I would have declared that the dress was now most definitely second hand, and offered her only 50p back for it.

or said that they would gladly accept her donation
!

I'd have used
"Like suppliers of underwear we can't accept returns on items that have been wrapped around a cunt. NEXT!"

This happens surprisingly often
and the old person involved invariably shouts "I'll not be bringing my business here agin then!" in some kind of tone they seem to think is triumphant.
