They said it contained over 8000 swear words - I believe this was impossible, as it was a two hour program meaning there must have been 1.1111111 swear words a second, even in the credits

8000 seems about right
and it was fantastic

apart from all the words.
funniest thing i've seen for years

i think most of the people who were offended hadn't even watched it and if you *were* going to be offended by swearing and the religious imagery you had plenty of warnings...
it makes me want to complain about songs of praise, but i don't need to as fortunately i'm smart enough to just turn the tv off

and I *can* tell you that it stinks...
furthermore, I can be so precise as to pinpoint the *cause* of the stink.... but only because I was there to witness it.

just made it all the funnier while i was watching it, the thought of all the apoplexies going on elsewhere ...

i took great offence at it, how dare they make jokes about such serious subject matter
it was great though, better live

on Radio 4 last Thursday he said something very valid here about people who were offended by the Little Britain show.
He said that most people were offended or complained on behalf of other people. Most were not offended themselves.
I think this is true in this case too.

and i think you are spot on.
there is probably a bit of small minded "well if those muslims can complain about that play the other day...", going on, too.

were counting every individual time someone swore, so if the entire cast (20? 30 people?) sang a swear word it counted as 20/30ish.

And I loved Jesus' wobbly manboobs.
And the tap-dancing Klu Klux Klan was one of the finest pieces of entertainment I have ever seen.
Inbred three-nipple cousin-fucker.

to get my breath back, after the klan bit
and "grow up jesus and put some fucking clothes on" finished me off

It's been going for ages, and until the BBC announced they were going to show it on TV the Moral Minority decided to stay firmly in their closet.
Still, could be worse. We could be raping virgins in a Sikh Temple. That really would cause a riot. Probably.

I promise to do groovy things with them (cheers supermoore)
