Talk board working again
please use this thread to discuss what TV is worth watching tonight. I was thinking about watching a Comic Strip Presents DVD.

this like the end of the never ending story
can I ride you like a luckdragon?
(, Fri 6 Apr 2012, 20:33, archived)
I'm going to watch Reign of Fire,
which I saw in the cinema when it came out. I have always thought that it's an underappreciated classic.
(, Fri 6 Apr 2012, 20:35, archived)
I'm watching The Illusionist

(, Fri 6 Apr 2012, 20:39, archived)
is that the one that's not the prestige?

(, Fri 6 Apr 2012, 20:43, archived)
Is The Prestige good?

(, Fri 6 Apr 2012, 20:47, archived)
I like the nods and winks at real magic tricks in The Illusionist

(, Fri 6 Apr 2012, 20:50, archived)
I liked it
there are similar things in the prestige, I've always heard them compared but I've never seen it

I think I speak on behalf of all the internet when I say "Phew!"

(, Fri 6 Apr 2012, 20:35, archived)
It would be funny if it wasn't so tediously predictable.

(, Fri 6 Apr 2012, 20:37, archived)
I just realised that I didn't answer the question.
I'll do it here...
I'm looking forward to Brick by Brick: Rebuilding Our Past on BBC2
It's a new series where Historian Dan Cruickshank and architectural designer Charlie Luxton explore the stories behind historic buildings as they are dismantled and reconstructed in a new location.
They also offer an insight into the traditional crafts used to make the properties.
In the first edition, they focus on one of Britain's earliest aviation buildings - Claude Grahame-White's Watch Tower - which is moved to the RAF Museum in Hendon, north-west London, and was originally the nerve centre of an aircraft factory that supplied warplanes during the First World War.
(, Fri 6 Apr 2012, 20:39, archived)
You missed the joke about the Daily Mail woman called Brick.

(, Fri 6 Apr 2012, 20:40, archived)
Actually, those documentaries about Queen are on BBC4 again at 9.
They're good, even if you don't like Queen.
(, Fri 6 Apr 2012, 20:36, archived)
do they explain how we could dismantle the royal family and distribute her wealth?
She could be given a nice council flat and a pension.
(, Fri 6 Apr 2012, 20:41, archived)
Why would you want to redistribute her wealth?
It'd go to poor people who would only spend it on shite.
(, Fri 6 Apr 2012, 20:44, archived)
they would spend it on jubilee tea towels and mugs
I assume all the profits from those go to her anyway
(, Fri 6 Apr 2012, 20:46, archived)
it keeps money moving
without wealth redistribution (traditionally taxation) most of the wealth ends up in the hands of a few and we have most people impoverished and a tiny elite.
(, Fri 6 Apr 2012, 20:48, archived)
My apologies, I was attempting to make a joke on a comedy website.

(, Fri 6 Apr 2012, 20:51, archived)
rob doesn't understand comedy.

I don't seem to have been permabanned yet, so I guess I'll be joining you on the ignore list.

Say what you like about him now, he won't see any of this.

(, Fri 6 Apr 2012, 20:57, archived)
Cunt wouldn't even spam my book in the newsletter, even though I've had several viral pictures that linked back to this site
and doubtless made him a millionaire. Redistribution of wealth, my sweaty bollocks.
(, Fri 6 Apr 2012, 20:58, archived)
Wait, what the fuck did I miss?

(, Fri 6 Apr 2012, 20:39, archived)

so what actually happened?
i was skimming through it, then went for a poo
when I came back this was the only thread

has baldmonkey been banned?
(, Fri 6 Apr 2012, 21:09, archived)
Dunno, I came here and there were about five or six baldmonkey threads doing a countdown
then I came back a couple of minutes later and /talk was empty, and then this thread appeared.

Then personality horse posted lots of replies, and then they were all gone.
