If you haven't played the first 3 I wouldn't bother
MGS 4 serves to do one of the most incredible feats of storytelling and somehow tie all 3 games together, which if you've played MGS 2 you'll know is no easy feat, but if you don't know the plot from those games you'll be lost.
Also some of the cutscenes are ridiculously long. The entire end sequence from the moment you put the pad down and stop interacting with the game is 90 minutes long or thereabouts

I've found here though everything's a box-ticking exercise where nobody seems to ever look at anything
So it's quite easy to just submit something that doesn't make sense in confidence nobody will ever bother to read it.
You know before Soviet Russia developed an internal market they measured production on quantities of materials consumed, so all the sofas and chandeliers kept getting bigger to game the metrics? Well that.

Yeah Stalker's great. Not a single frame wasted.
Do you speak Russian grr? I can never work out if his films are hard to understand because of deliberate symbolism or clunky translation.
Stalker ultimately killed Tarkovsky and several people working on it. They all developed a rare form of cancer suspected to be related to the chemicals in the abandoned factory they filmed in :(

No I don't speak Russian, but my clumsy Polish helped when watching Stalker because it cleared up a few of the bad subtitles. However, Russian's dissimilar enough to Polish to cause more problems than you'd think, cos of all the false cognates and such. Similar grammar though.

We were talking about a bloke who crashed his motorbike, but couldn't afford the excess on his insurance so couldn't get it repaired. The excess was a voluntary 750 quid with a mandatory 100 on top. So I said it was his own fault for not understanding how an excess worked and trying to get his monthly payments down without considering the problems in the event of a crash.
