# There was a BIG Rothko expo last year at my local museum (gemeentemuseum), which normally houses the largest Mondrian collection in the world
Seeing as my dad used to work there, I grew up on Mondrian, so to speak. Rothko didn't do anything for me (I do know someone who thinks he is the shit though).

Anyway, in one room, they put some Rothkos and Mondrians side by side, to fully appreciate the different generations in abstract art - it still did nothing for me, although it was maybe 5% more interesting. Your picture reminded me of this moment.

Art and opinions eh?
