It was arran. Still don't know what it means though. Apparently Nik Kershaw did an interview and admitted that they were recording this song and hadn't written the lyrics yet, so he made some up on the spot just to get the first-take of the recording done - with the intention of writing proper ones later. However, these lyrics stuck.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Please?
