# original spectrum, old boy
well, i say original, post-bbc original anyway.

# yeah
"original"... bollocks ;)

I have attempted the NES version via an emulator, as Ian Bell considers that to be the definitive version. sadly, the emulator was on an iPaq, which didn't allow multiple keypresses, which kinda ruined any opportunity of proper control!

now there's a speccy emulator for my phone, however...

# there's also a C64
and a direct port of Doom... my phone has more processing power than the PCs it was originally released for!

# but
can your phone make phone calls without requiring a huge number of menus?

# click one button for list of numbers
scroll through list or type initial letter to find person to call
press call

I think that means "yes"
edit: oh, and there's always the old classic "dial the number" method

# there's a really good spectrum emulator that runs it on the pc
it plays perfectly but doesn't save properly all the time. mind you, i'm almost 30 now, i refuse to spend all day, every day, and all evening, every evening pissing about on a computer.

oh. bugger. ;)

# hehehe
I never played speccy or C64 games, so I've no interest in trying them - shame, really... the gameboy emu I've got is good though, and it's more suited to the available controls

# *faint*
