Nigerian scamsI put my car up for sale on a 'net place, and went away for the weekend. By the time I got back, there were five mails all offering to buy the car. Would I accept a cheque in GBP, and 'please to reply in busness like manner'. Their spelling, not mine.
my reply: 'Certainly. Tell you what, why don't I give you the keys to my house, instead? That way you can pick up the car yourself. Just leave the cheque on the kitchen sink, that'll be fine.'
They didn't reply.
