Just click the *edit* button and add 'width=300' into the URL part.
There's also a handy 'preview' button so you can see what things'll look like before you post.

Well I made it smaller
Not sure where you mean by putting the width=300 into the URL. I'll experiment later maybe. It's hometime now so I'm off.

Making it smaller is always the best thing
(file size is smaller for dial-upers).
The 'width thing' is just changing from this:
<img src="http://foo.com/bar.jpg" />
to
<img src="http://foo.com/bar.jpg" width=xxx />
EDIT: Okay, it's not in the URL (that was misleading) it's in the link/anchor.
