the shadow was the most fun bit
the finding and editing the original gif wasn't.
but what's cool is image-googling 'head of a pin' - you get one cool site that lets you zoom in photo by photo on a pin head till you can see the bacteria, then indiviudal bacteria.
it really brings home to you that your whole world is covered in squilliuons of tiny countries full of little blobby chaps up to no good.
