# esepecially
when facepainting is at risk. Was well fun, we left with about 20 people and went to this hole in the wall late licenced kebab shop that plays late night blues, after 10 minutes there were about 8 people left.

# nope, mountain
dew no more, only place you can get it is in some tesco metros. Mostly people say that it tastes like yak piss... I however, find its sickly sweetness almost entirely revitalising.

# Hey there Mistera
I been told to ask you this question, 'cause apparently its in your department:

How do I stream a 'less than 5MB' RealVideo from yer average webspace? Like when you go to view a video on the net and it lets you watch it, but you can't download it.
(, Thu 7 Nov 2002, 20:08, archived)
# you need the real producer,
theres a cracked one on kazaa, or you can use the free version. Set it to give you maybe a 56k , 28k, and a 256k buit rate, and then stick it ojn yer site. rm files stream better when hosted on a helix universal server, but quite often theres absolutely no difference, they just want you to think there is.
(, Thu 7 Nov 2002, 20:15, archived)
# No
I know how to make the RealVideo file, in fact I've already go it. But how do I get it to stream?
(, Thu 7 Nov 2002, 20:18, archived)
# sorry was orf for a sec there,
all you do is put it on your site, the packet streaming protocol is an attribute of browsers.
(, Thu 7 Nov 2002, 20:32, archived)
# So
can I open my video file in RealProducer and change it to what you're talking about? I don't know what this packet streaming malarkey is, but I'll have a look at the RealProducer and see what gives. Someone mentioned something about uploading a text file renamed from .txt to .ram that just has the url of the RealVideo file and then that acts as a redirect. Would that work or it that just voodoo?
(, Thu 7 Nov 2002, 20:38, archived)
# no,`
theres no point doing that with the text file (although yea, it works) just stick it on yer site or wherever as a link and it'll boot in the real player. Once its a rm file, you cant change it tho, so for instance, you wont be able to set multiple bit rates unless its already encoded that way. is it anywhere online at the moment?
