Robot Porn Monthly's stud of the week...

Just for the lady robots, check out the size of my joystick...

# you're sad
and insecure about the actual size of you penis

# And you are a cunt.
NEXT!
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:35, archived)
# not at all...
mind you, I will admit to using an old pair of jeans and a couple of pillows to make that... as there would not be enough room for that joystick along side my own ;-)

(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:36, archived)
# Boy, that's a relief!
I was really worried how you fitted that joystick in your trousers.

Woo!
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:37, archived)
# yes..
quite painfull I would imagine...

# coo! look at the variable resistors on that!
etc.

edit: yes, I don't know my circuit diagram symbols, but wtf
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:38, archived)
# hahaha
where? You numpty! ;)

/pedant
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:40, archived)
# erm, there arent any variable resistors on that
nice not gate and op-amp however

# tis all american symbols
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:42, archived)
# isnt it all standard now
or do the americans have to use there own system as the standard electronic circuit diagram symbols are to hard to understand?
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:43, archived)
# americans are too stupid
to be able to understand the universial symbols
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:45, archived)
# Great generalisation there.
You just tried to sum up an entire continent with one pithy comment. Good work.
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:47, archived)
# im sure many americans would understand it
but why else would they have a different system to the rest of the world?
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:49, archived)
# Same reason we drive on the left,
the swedes all drive around with their lights on and we all have a different currency. It would make sense to make all the rules the same but it would take a while to catch on. Like the Euro. And Scat Porn.
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:50, archived)
# swedes have lights on all the time for a reason
as at some points of the year it stays dark all day/week/month, so lights are kept on anyway.

that its the law.

there american, they HAVE to be different, tis in their nature
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:51, archived)
# well i try
:)
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:49, archived)
# Seconded!
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:50, archived)
# I was not sure of the gate
it's been 22 years since I was at Uni doing that stuff, I'm glad I never wrote nand which is what I guessed at.
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:43, archived)
# i thought and, nand has a little 'o' on the output of the and
but no output, but a +- on inputs, so must be an op-amp.

# the thing at the bottom might be a condenser microphone
as it says con mic next to it?

we're the clever ones, though. we are

the small writing, but i do belive u are correct!
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 21:04, archived)
# if you look
it says it's a condenser mic
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:54, archived)
# It is an AND gate-
without an output...
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:56, archived)
# then whats the point in it? and an and dont have +/- inputs, only +,
silly
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 21:02, archived)
# Almost as though it's not a real schematic...
???
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 21:07, archived)
# lol, i think this thread has got a bit pout of hand
may email futurama ppl later complaining!
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 21:14, archived)
# Gates are at A-level?
I assumed that was more GCSE-ish. I teach BTEC, which is a different animal again.

My golly, this conversations getting very techernickle.
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 21:05, archived)
# Come on, mate,
GCSE is 'what happens when you connect a light bulb to a battery'

OMG!!!! It lights up!!!!
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 21:14, archived)
# yea, they kinda drag over
at a-level we do a bit more indepth, and how to do usefull things with them
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 21:15, archived)
# And at degree
we stop doing anything useful whatsoever, and get bogged down in pointless algebra...

Except this: www.sodall.co.uk/circuit.gif

# Well when I was at school
there were no electronics courses, we had to go to day release at the local college for it. We touched on the stuff at 'O'- Level but did not get into transistor technology properly until technical college, mind you, things have changed a lot since then, the home PC when I studied was either an apple II or BBC Micro.
Got their priorities right for once.
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 21:27, archived)
# that top one could be a variable resistor.
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:45, archived)
# which one be you lookin' at?
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:46, archived)
# Top page,
red loopy resistory looking one with a wire joining it from the top. Its sketchy, but it could be.
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:48, archived)
# oh ar!
it could be, but that red loopy wire is surely some kind of heating element, by the looks of the text next to the yellow zig zags they seem to be resistors, and if it was a variable resistor it would surely have an arrow onn the end of the ajoining wire?
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:50, archived)
# heater or inductor.
Or a close approximation to a circuit diagram drawn by someone more used to drawing Futurama.
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:51, archived)
# That's an inductor
(AICMFP?)
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:51, archived)
# I'll take that monetary
prize sir!

( look below for mindpiss )
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:52, archived)
# Wel, I can't let you have five pounds.
But you can have a copy of my book for a mere £25 -£5 AICMFP discount +£5 being cleverer than me charge.
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:52, archived)
# I've no idea what you know
but as far as I can remember from my electronics degree that's just a coil, inductor or at a stretch a solenoid.
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:50, archived)
# Seconded
(Or could it be that the schematic is complete nonsense.....?????)
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:51, archived)
# A stretch solenoid?
My, my mind wimbles off on strange tangents.
(, Sat 29 Oct 2005, 20:53, archived)
# as it's from a cartoon
I doubt they went to any great lengths to make it as real as possible....

mind you....
