i looked really hardall i can see is that sin city is shite
(note: with crappy colour passing effects where they cant be arsed to do it properly so they painted the actors grey!)

colour passingits a video effect for de saturating an image or film and leaving one colour (or colour similarity set) in tact
in sin city they use it to make the screen look grey but their lips look red, however in some scenes they couldn't get the colour passing right so just painted the actors grey and you can tell they did too!

i liked itbut then i'm also a fan of the comic book and found it a very good comic to film adaption.
