[challenge entry] 'Recognizing the need is the primary condition for design.' - Charles Eames

edit - Obviously my genius is far too advanced. It's a remote control that beeps when you whistle... just like those 'lost key' thingamajigs.

What happens when you lose the whistle?

# True
But it does cater for people who can't whistle.

What you need is a "Find Remote" button on the TV that sends out a signal...

# but what happens
when you lose the TV?
(, Thu 22 Jun 2006, 9:19, archived)
# No good.
What about all those existing remotes?

No, what the world needs is a universal remote - that you can tune in to your tv/dvd/whatever - with this feature built in. Or, for people who can't whistle or want to watch 'Lassie Come Home' without interruption... a wall-mounted pager that you attach next to the light-switch.

# Or a strap that attaches the remote to your wrist.

# But I whistle all the time
And surely the keys would pick up any high frequency sound..

But ah well, it's a good idea, and the use of a black man to advertise it is inspired.
