You are joking?The Mirror pensioners got plenty of coverage, and rightly so, but no help from the government. Different story when the Clowes-Barlow investment bank went under. That was people who could afford to lose the money (and only paid in out of sheer greed to start with) and the government at that time (Tories funnily enough) couldn't do enough to rally 'round and compensate everyone. What happened to the Farepak savers is fucking scandalous. Don't get me wrong, they're fair game for a piss-take like everybody else but label them all chavs is ridiculous.
