# Were you using that chute
that you just roll the balls down?
(, Mon 20 Jan 2003, 22:26, archived)
# No
I've asked before, but none of my mates would let me use it.

# I once had a dream
where a girl I worked with twatted my boss round the head with a bowling ball. It was very touching.

# Touching?
More like clubbing

# I've tried
they don't help.

The bowling alley here, you can put the sides up thus making it impossible to get a gutter ball.

# Yeah
I got to use them once. My eight year old nephew still beat me though.

# You let him win.
That's your cover story.

# Not really
Everybody knows I'm so shit at bowling that I couldn't let someone win. They'd just win on the basis that they'd be better at it than me.

# I've been known to get so bored
that I've lain full length on the floor and pushed the ball to see if I could aim better from that angle. It didn't work.

# Bah
I'll bet you were just trying to put off the other players...

I know it'd divert my attention from the game!

# The bumpers would help me loads
I seem to think it's really flash to spin the ball like hell, normally resulting in many gutter shots cross-lane, and a sprained wrist after 2 games 8o(

# Someone I was in school with broke his wrist 10 pin bowling
He realised he was about to foul, so he jumped over the dividing bit between lanes, landed awkwardly in the next lane and fell over and broke his wrist. It was still a foul anyway.
